Welcome back everybody. This week, honey, the wheels just keep on rolling. We're back in our mobile studio, which is, well, a rental car, and we are whipping down I-75 on the way to Atlanta. And guys, it feels like we were just there, but now we're on the way down, looking to buy for spring 2027. Can you believe it? How crazy are we already talking about that? It's insane how this never stops. So in this podcast we talk about some things that we're looking for, some things that we thought we got right with spring, maybe some things we didn't get right, and of course, there are a few stories, including one where Dwayne lost his absolute mind in the Hyatt. I'll never forget it for as long as I live. Let's keep this car just moving. Let's get to it

Let's get to it Are we live? We are live from the mobile recording studio. We're live- At mile 154 in Tennessee. Yeah, we just got into Tennessee, and for some reason, you know, we were just here, my, my, my in-laws and my husband and the, the whole side of the family were just here. And for some reason, as soon as we started to cross the line, all I heard was, uh, Rocky Top Tennessee, and so you, you just wanted to dance to that. I don't know why. Now, that was a nice looking hoedown you just did, brother. Thank you. It is. Hoedown in my seat over here. Front seat hoedown. Did you, uh, eat out much at, uh, Tennessee, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge? Well, we ate at the cabin a few times, and then we did, go out to eat. And let me tell you, I, you know, I wrote a blog po- post about this, wrote an emailment about it, um, so I'm not gonna, like, beat it to death. But, we did eat a few places, that brought back a lot of memories, and it was a nice little thing. And you know, the little, if you've been to the Gatlinburg, or not really the Gatlinburg, but to Pigeon Forge. My family always went to Pigeon Forge because Gatlinburg was for the city folk, and my grandpar- my great-grand- Are you serious? Yeah, that was, that was how my grandparents kind of felt. Uh, they liked to be more in Pigeon Forge. But, there's The Mill, The Old Mill. Oh, he was sitting there. Yeah, he was. There's a- We just- For listeners- there is a certain spot where has been pulled over on I-75 going to Tennessee, and we're always a little careful as we drive past it. And there was a cop in his place the other day, so. There was one this time. He was. Mm-hmm. Not that we're speeding. We're not. Uh, we went to the- A little we went to The Mill, and I... Listen, I have no idea how that restaurant, one, makes any money, 'cause the price point. If you don't know where Pigeon Forge or what it is, it's kind of like the, uh, it's- It's Myrtle Beach in the mountains it's, yeah, exactly. Myrtle Beach in the mountains. It's, uh, it's- Never thought of it that way it's like the Branson of Tennessee. Yeah. Like, I, it's, it's, it's just a, a... And what's that place, uh, where Erica, she'll go, she took her kids to? You knew, uh- Wisconsin Dells. Oh yeah, Wisconsin Dells. Yeah. That's what it is. Wisconsin Dells. Uh, it's kinda like that area if you're in the Midwest, if you go. So it, it's a place where you can just go and it's kinda laid back, but there's lots of things for kids to do, but, oh, but the restaurant. I could not, could not believe the amount of food. I just don't know how they make any money. But if you do go, I do wanna say this because we had this waitress and her name was Valeria, and she had Disney princesses, tattooed on her arm. She was probably the best waitress I've ever had- Anywhere. What was her name? Valeria. Valeria. Valeria. She was so kind, so sweet. There was a small debacle. This is one of those moments where, you know, when something happens, like, I, I don't wanna call it a crisis, but when a problem happens, there's multiple ways to handle it. And, you can handle it with confidence and quickness, or you can be a total disaster, right? Well, she- Depends on how you would do it. Well, it depends on the day. It depends on the day. But I'll tell you, that, that day they, we had, they brought our tray of food. There was eight or nine of us, I can't remember how many. We were sitting there. Everybody but three got their food delivered. The rest of the food was on another tray. It was set on one of those little stands. Somebody bumped it and the entire tray of food hit the ground. Mm. Now, where most people would have freaked out, she had this under control. She delivered the rest of the... There was only like one more plate, I think she was in the middle of delivering it. And so she wrote on the thing, "Okay, you still need this, you still need this, you still need this." She said, "Okay, I'll be right back. It'll be less than a minute." There was food on the table for the people whose food was destroyed in less than a minute. Wow. She never lost the smile on her face. She made a joke about it. As far as like, you know, uh, it was, it was kinda funny, you know, j- about her handling it, and was so nice. I was so impressed with how the, the rest of the staff did there because they descended on the disaster, and within probably, I wanna say three minutes- Done it was clean. You could ne- You could have not told if... There was no proof that it happened. Mm. And I mean, I want you to think about plates with hotcakes and scrambled eggs and, uh- Gravy breakfast potatoes and gravy and s- and grits and all that. Gone. Clean. So what did you learn from that to make you a better person? Yeah, we'll figure that out. I don't- Okay. I, personally, I think I'm pretty good. I don't know how much more improvement I need to take. Oh, Lord. Oh, wow. But I was so impressed with her, how she handled that. And so as for Valeria, she was so good. I'm... Listen, this is how much I cared about it. I stopped and spoke to the restaurant manager. I, uh- Good for you talked to the management, like, the, the floor manager who handled the, the, the, the staff, and then I went on Google Review to leave her... Like, that's how well of a, a situation- Mm that she handled it. Well done. Well done. Well, I'm gonna tell you about my food story, even though it has nothing to do with going to market. Okay. But, 'cause last night, you know, I was cooking, and you know I do not cook. But- I thought you did cook. Well, I do cook. I don't like to cook- Okay but I do cook. And JJ had requested the, Mexican gnocchi that I make, 'cause he loves it. So I was like, "Okay, that's fine." You know? So- Okay, hold on. What's, what's Mexican gnocchi? So it is ground beef, uh, taco seasoning, um, you can put black beans in it if you would like, potato gnocchi- Oh, so there actually is gnocchi in it. It's, it's like a casserole- Oh, okay, okay, okay with cheese on top. Okay. And yeah. So and then I was like, "Oh, you know, I'm going out of town. I'll make... You know, it's easy. I'll make rice krispie treats too, 'cause he loves those." Made them, made his Caesar salad. You're a good mommy. Ev- I know. And everything was, you know, ready to go, you know, whatever. The timer went off on the oven. I was like, "Okay." I open the oven, and it looked real good, and I reach in with a hot pad to pick up the casserole dish, and as soon as my thumb hit it, the entire dish exploded- Oh, no in the oven. Oh, God. Like, I didn't even pick it up. The whole thing just went And I'm like, "Oh." Guess we're the one-house kids. Oh. And I was more upset 'cause he, like, actually wanted that. He wanted a good rug. And I was like, "Oh, God." And I yell explicitives from the kitchen. And so, um... And then Jeremy's like, "Oh." He goes, "I'll DoorDash something." No. And I was like... He goes, "But the brownies smell good." I was like, "I didn't make brownies. I made Rice Krispie treats." And he's like, "Oh, I thought they were brownies." Ooh. He goes, "I like those, too." So anyway, we ate, you know, whatever. Of course, you know, there's shattered glass all over inside the oven. Mm-hmm, yeah. So I'm like, "We just gotta let it cool down and vacuum it out later," because you couldn't, you couldn't touch it. Huh. I scraped off, like, the big piece and just put it on, like, a cookie sheet and threw it away, but all inside the oven it ju- I mean, literally exploded. I don't think the casserole dish- I've never had that happen. Me either. So we eat, it's fine. Take a shower, blah, blah, blah, blah. You know, we're watching TV, and you have to walk past our bedroom to get to the kitchen, and we hear JJ coming. And he stops at the door and looks in at us. He goes, "Did the brownies explode too?" I went, "I made Rice Krispie treats, not brownies." He's like, "Oh, I thought I smelled brownies." My question is what the hell do you put in your Rice Krispie treats- Nothing that smell like brownies? I don't... Nothing. I had butter, marshmallows, and Rice Krispies. That's it. That's it. Oh. So he's like, "Oh, I like those too." Yeah. That's a frustrating night. I know. That is. What'd y'all do with the rest of it? Was it good? It was- Sutton's. You had- Yeah you had... Okay. All right. Yeah, it was all right. Um, okay. It wasn't a no-kie though. Side note- No not the no-kie. It wasn't a no-kie. Side note about the Rice Krispie treats, I'm not a big fan of Rice Krispie, Rice Krispie treats. However, and Stuart, I'm sorry, you can't have these, but Cinnamon Toast Crunch Rice Krispie treats, like, you change out the Rice Krispies- Mm for that, oh. Yeah. You wanna talk about making a fat kid happy. I bet that'd be good. Oh, God. Yeah. I could eat a whole tray. They're so good. Lord, have mercy. Well, this morning half of the pan of Rice Krispie treats was gone, so- Okay I guess they did good. I think they did good. For not doing the brownie. You haven't gotten them. No. Well, hopefully we have no food disasters this week, so hopefully that'll be- Well, we're we eating? I'll tell you if we are- Oh, yeah gonna have food disasters. Well, we are going to, um... So Atlanta, as big as the city is- Food's next unless you're driving, there's not a lot of food options near the market. And so once we get to market, we, we park the car, we stay at the hotel, and we try to walk for the most part. And there's a, there's a couple restaurants that we may- Yeah drive out to go to, but it's just so much work and hassle and effort and, and Stuart has to be the one that drives and, you know, 'cause I would get lost even as many times as we've been down there. I kinda, I have a general idea, but Dwayne wouldn't know- I don't even know what building I'm in- I know in Atlanta. Yeah, he has to- Unless, unless driving we're... So you have to make reservations far in advance. And so I made these probably a month and a half ago, maybe two months ago. Well, and what's different about this market is typically summer market's in July. Yeah. It is June the 8th or 7th or whatever day it is today. What, what day it is? The 8th, so it's a month earlier than normal. Yes, because the World Cup is happening, and there are some games that are being played in Atlanta in July, so they had to move it because there's no way you could fit- All those people, and the market people, and because listen, we have been here, there's always conventions going on. Like, there's always something going on. We have been here with the Mary Kay convention. Mm-hmm. We have been here with the Dragon Convention. We've been here with a con- uh, like a Comic Con. Comic Con. Uh, uh, but let me tell you, the worst one was the Mary Kay. If you wear Mary Kay, I love you, but Lord have mercy, that, that thing was awful. But tonight we have for dinner, we're going to Rays on the City. Oh, good. Oh, nice. So we're gonna, uh... It's right outside the market, so sea- like seafood, steak, you know, whatever. And then tomorrow night we are going to the, uh, Atlanta Grill at the Ritz, the little- Oh, yeah. Oh, nice place there, that kind of Ralph Lauren-y looking one. Yeah. Yeah. Nice. Okay. It's like that. Great salmon. Uh, yes. Yeah, it's good, good food. Um, and then Wednesday night is a tre- a, a treat and a surprise for Dwayne. Oh, I know what that is. Well, as long as it's me popping a Hsus. I don't know if it is a Hsus. It's not a shoe. Hsus, damn you, what is it? It needs to be some shoe. Your other favorite thing down there. Your other favorite. Two Urban Licks? Huh? Yep. Two Urban Licks? No, the other one. Oh, I don't know. It's not that Oak Barrel thing, is it? No. Oh, thank God. I hate that place. 'Cause that would be- No our food tragedy. No, that would be- Okay. I don't know. It's, it's that, uh... Lord, I can't even remember what the name of it is now. It's the Jack's Place, the, uh, the surfboard burger place. The Kahuna Place? The Kahuna Place. Oh, God. Oh. Oh, I love- I hope they have their bourbon slushies. I hope they have their bourbon- Oh, you need... How did you manage that one? I love it. Well, the, the, the truthfulness is there's always reservations for that place open. Wonder why. We j- Yeah. This is gonna be a memory maker. Oh, great. So- does not care for this place. And I think that one's right across from our hotel, too. Uh- 'Cause we're staying at the Hyatt not a clue. Not a clue. Um, uh, we have, uh, you know, we've, we've eaten at almost every restaurant that's within walking distance. And when market's going on, because how many people are there, the restaurants are all busy at the same time. So if you don't have a reservation, you can wait for an hour and a half, two hours, like you, maybe- Oh, I tell you one. Now, they already know. Oh, no. You've already bitches about it once. Yes. Um- You put me in the back of the bus- And, uh- getting your buffet oh, oh my God. Uh- I don't want your buffet. So actually, I don't think you've told that story. You should tell that story. Um, but, um- We found it, and it's just like a little burger place, and they had, uh, Jack and... Was it Jack and Coke? Jack and Coke slushies. Jack and Coke slushies. They were delicious. Yeah, they were. Um, and it's, it's not gourmet by any means. Although it's across the street from Morton's, uh, it's just a little hole in the wall. It's where you sit there and look sad at the people in the Morton's window- 'cause you're having a chili dog and a slushie. But we haven't been in a very long time, and Dwayne always talks about he, he wanted to go there. So after January, you mentioned it again, and I was like, "Okay, I made a mental note." I was like, "In the summer we will go." Look at you, Vi. I know. Your big old heart. I try. Hopefully we don't get food poisoning and- You know- There is no guarantee there I think the, I think the last time we were there they only had two waitstaff, so- Yeah, it was- You know what? We'll see how it goes. When he gets his burger, then he'll be happy. And they had rosé slushies the last time. And they, uh, frosé. Yeah, they had- Frosé frosé, frosé slushies. Yes. You know, listen, anything to help get you through the week. Um, I do think, Dwayne, you need to tell the story about- when you... Listen, I have only seen Dwayne lose his shit- Oh. Oh um, a few, maybe, like, maybe- 10 times? I would say five or less. Okay, okay. In the, in, in the- Yeah, I'd say a good five in the 22 years we've worked together, I would think that I've, I've only seen that happen. One time was at Market. And we, he lost his shit over dinner. The buffet. Yeah. Tell the story. Uh, okay. First, uh, it was a big bougie hotel, and we're gonna have, um- Which is where we're staying. What? I guess that's where we're staying this time. Is that that same hotel? Yeah. Right. So it, you know, it's like, it's, it's not like the, the Days Inn. It's like the one that's about 22 stories tall, and it has, like, a rotunda, and there's, like, 1,000 people roaming around. And so they had the Southern Restaurant attached to it. Well, their definition of Southern food and Southern restaurant at the Hyatt or whatever it was, the, first, they don't know how to, cook in the South, Southern food. That's wrong. But, so it was very limited restaurants that particular time, so we opted to eat in the restaurant twice. So the first night, we were in line, and then there was a second line- Didn't eat the first night and we did not have the reservations, and, so we waited a while to get there- Unless they blocked it out to eat the food. For them to, uh, serve us, I think we had s- uh, they were serving us food, right? Normal, right? Yes, yes. Yeah. But they also had a buffet, and I'm like, "I don't want a buffet," because my parents insisted on going to Duff's Smorgasbord. Right? Y- hear that. It wasn't even the, uh, what's the, uh, buffet- Piccadilly? P- uh, Piccadilly, right? Well, what's the steakhouse that still exists that's the, uh- Ponderosa? Yeah, Pondera- we'll call it Ponderosa, right? I hate those things. Golden Corral. I don't want... Golden Corral. That's the re- I don't want to have to eat off a sneeze guard, right? That just is not my goal in life. And volume is not g- you know, I'd rather have smaller and good. Long story is, I hate a buffet. So but this big, fancy Southern restaurant had buffet. Luckily, we didn't have to eat off the buffet that first night. There's a reason behind that. So what I realized, though, is there's two lines, one that has reservations and one that doesn't has reservations. So it's, the reservation line moved very quickly, and we're standing in their line to get mediocre food that's overpriced. And I thought, "Oh, I'm gonna learn from this, so we're gonna eat at the same restaurant the, the, the next time." So I made reservations. Sounds good in theory, doesn't it? Well, the second night we get back, and you've seen him, those who have seen him, he, he has a petite figure, right? And there's not a lot of, there's not a lot of intestines inside that little figure. And so he had to go to the restroom to purge so he could eat more. So- Oh my God, you make it sound like I'm anorexic. Well, no. I just had to poop. You had to poop. Right? He just, he doesn't have a lot of room- I'm out to keep it in there. I'm out. And so normally he manages all this stuff. Well now, since I made the reservation, and Jeremy's on his own oblivious to the world that night. Usually he's got it too, but it's me to take care of everything, 'cause I'm usually the oblivious one. I go get in line. Well, I get in this line that has two people in it as opposed to the 22 people, okay? 'Cause that's the reservation line, like it was the night before. And I get up there, and there's only one person controlling both lines as opposed to two people the night before. So finally, the, the lady looks at me, she said, "Why are you over here in this line?" I said, "Well, the reservation line." She said, "No, there's only one line. You need to get to this line." And I said, "No, I made reservations last night. Like, last night there was two lines." She said, "There is only one line, and you need to get to the back of the line." I looked at her and I said, "You are not putting me in the back of the bus." Like Rosa Parks. Oh my God. Now, in Atlanta, saying that, and saying that to a Black woman, probably wasn't the best thing to have said. I'm glad I was taking a shit. My God. Well, Dwayne then proceeds to- Yeah, and it's like, oh lose his shit in the lobby of the Hyatt Motel, Hotel, to the point of which I'm texting Yeah and letting him know to please hurry up, that this is the biggest fit I've ever seen him throw. Yeah, I think it was like, walk to the front door. Walk to the front door. And that might've been the first night we went and wa- went to that Jack's place, the Kahuna- I think it was. We, we, yeah. Because like- We walked down the hill "Not only do you not have a reservation, but you're gonna have to eat off the buffet tonight, 'cause we're not serving. We only have the buffet." And I'm like, "Hell to the no, I am not eating your buffet, especially you, you treat me like Rosa Parks, no." Oh my God. Anyway, there you go. Oh, well, so hopefully- But this will not happen this time. No, hopefully it won't happen this time. Well, let's talk about the restaurant, you all can look it up. Two Urban Licks, right? So this is one, we had to drive out, and, and it's a really cool restaurant, and they have something called salmon chips, which basically is a big fried potato chip that's the size of a house, and they chop up salmon and they have a little spread on it. Anyway, so I told my son-in-law to be about this. I've shown him pictures, 'cause he loves to cook. He loves to cook, and he's a good cook. And I said, "These are the best things in the world." Guess what I walked into the other night? He made his version of salmon chips for me, and then also a, a, a lemon zest, uh, pasta, uh, with grilled chicken on it for an early Father's Day gift. Oh, that is very kind. And it was good. But how sweet was that? That was very sweet. Okay. Anyway, so we're done talking about this. So what we're gonna do in Atlanta, what, what are we looking for? This is where we're buying rabbits, basically. Spring for next year. Spring for 20- Spring for next seven. Yes. Well. Uh, um- You know, it's a privilege to go do this. No, I'm thankful. There'll be a lot of people who wanna go. Yeah. I, I know. Doesn't sound like you wanna be here, Listen I'm listening It's just a lot. It's a lot. It's a lot to process. I, I know that we- You'll get very irritated with the Mennonite women there, I can tell you that, and their note-taking. Yeah. You don't need a fucking notebook. If you're gonna buy it, buy it. If not, move on. Oh, my God. Don't go to dinner and talk about what you're gonna buy three bunnies and one egg for. Yeah. I, we, I think we've mentioned this before. It's people shop differently and, and I understand that it gets very overwhelming. Um, and, but I think this is something you all taught me from the get-go, was you need to figure out which vendors to go to, and not waste your time, right? Like, we need, we can go look other places, but you don't need to ride a day on and then- There's a company called We Want To Check Out The Royal Standard. The- We Want To Check That Out. Ah. But, but basically you walking around for three days to see if you can find the same thing and save a nickel- Is not productive is not productive. It, it, it costs you more money in the long run. Yeah. Right? So, um, but there are still people who live by that, find it for a nickel cheaper, and I, oh, Lord. So they do, they do do that. No, they do. But yeah, so it's spring. And so, why don't we talk about what did, did we think we got right for this spring and what do we want to... Let's start with that, and then let's see, talk about what we think, think we got wrong, if there was something- Um- and where we need to do more. Those flat bunny rabbits with the little white cotton, we gotta do those yet a f- seventh year. Whatever quantity we ordered last year, do it again. And they had a country version I didn't care for, but they sold too. They did sell well. Yeah, they did. They sold. Yeah. So w- that one company, whatever it is, uh, those bunny rabbits- Yeah we gotta get those big time. We went super deep in spring ribbon, and I f- I got pictures of what we got. We had a lot of certain ones left over. Yeah. We, right? We did. So we gotta be careful of that. Well, I was gonna say, I think we got the correct amount of bunnies, 'cause we didn't have to like- Yeah, we didn't have any bunnies left. We didn't have to clearance them out. Yeah, not one. You know? Yeah, none to go. Wait, oh, some, will you look at- But ribbon we, I think, went overboard on super bright things. Yeah. Yeah. Well, if, if you remember when we went to market last year, Dwayne had beat this drum for years and years and years. He wanted to get more, have more spring ribbon. So we bought more. Yeah. Right. In, in, in years past there, we would have absolutely nothing left. So I'm not surprised that we have a little bit left. Um, I don't know what exactly we do have left, but, um, I'm not surprised that- It's just the same scenario, like what sold really sold- Yeah and then there was just these things that just did okay. You just never know. Yeah. You never know. It's always the, the fascinating, uh, never know. And you know with bunnies, they're... Like, 'cause they're just, they're out there. You know, there's, there's so many different kinds. Oh, Dwayne, look and see when, uh, Easter is next year, 'cause I think it's really, really early, even earlier than this year. 'Cause that's the- Is it in March? I, I think it's in March again. I think it's really early. Uh, because you have to take that into account because after Easter nobody wants bunnies. I mean, that's, that's how we say it, Uh, March the 28th So, okay. And then I think next year it's even earlier than that. 'Cause, like, this year was, like, March 25th I think. Are you inspired for anything for spring? Did, did we... While you were doing spring, did you do anything that inspired you for next year? I wanna say yes, but not really. Uh, there's nothing that jumps out. I guess I've moved past it. It's such a long time ago. Uh. It was three, three, two months. Well, look, there's been a lot of- There's been a lot going on a lot of water under that bridge. Yeah. If you don't, you, you know- Yeah the truth of how many things we've all done. Uh, no, I think this is what this road trip does, it does inspire me. I didn't do any preliminary looking. And there's really not a lot of pre-show information to look at. Okay. So really, the, the Atlanta displays, the, the, it, it, it gets you inspired. So who knows what we're walking into. Mm... We need to order more n- nests, uh, birds nests. Nests are a thing that have got, have become very challenging to find. Yeah, they just don't exist, do they? Well, they, they, well, they do. Well, they're very expensive. Oh, are they? They're expensive. Is that what it was? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Or they're the size of dinner plates. And you don't need... Nobody, I mean, unless you're a condor, I don't think that many people put big ones in. No. Now, I will say this was something interesting that, uh, in the storage Dwayne you did on a display, over one of those shelves you used forsythia. Uh, we ended up putting some, like, silver little bud vases over there. You know, it was very, uh, country-ish. I will say it's, it was a little more rustic- Yeah than I thought. And we did a lot of, uh, rustic egg, or nests that we did have that went over there that were just, like, grapevine and raffia, and things like that. But when you put it with the silver and the pewter and horn- Yeah, it was great it was real sophisticated, right? Yeah. I thought that did really well. I don't know if that's worth- Yeah uh, uh, expanding it, but it's just like a new... I mean, it wasn't a new take on it, but it might've been new for us. It, it's definitely a look that we've done before, we just hadn't done that in a while. Uh- I said something the other day about a fabric, uh, proposing to use for somebody, and her house is, you know, has, um, it has some Shaker type furniture to it, which I can always interpret as slightly modern. Mm-hmm. The clean lines. Yeah. And, you know, she's got some beam work, but the house is basically your model, the white kitchen and white countertops, so clean. So it's a, a hybrid. And then this fabric I found, um, it's like a, a viney something, but it was brocade. And you look at it, it could have, like, a little colonial vibe to it, it could have a, uh, a little more formal vibe to it, but also could have a little country vibe to it. And I said, I says all that description. Well, she froze and stuck when I said, "Country." I was like, "No, don't get stuck on that word." I said, "You can have a formal house and you can still have draperies or fabric that have a c- country connotation to it. It depends on the setting and what you put with it." It's the combination. It, it's a combination, right? And, uh, you know, I went ahead and explained the whole thought process, and I said, "That's what makes it good, is the fact that it's universal and it could be a little more primitive, it could be a little more country, it could be more formal." So whenever you put the adjective country on something, people lose it. Yeah. Yeah. They don't want country. My mind just lost it with you just talking about it. Yeah. I, and I don't- And, uh, funny thing- I did, 'cause I was like, "Eeh" and I just don't think that's, I... See, I love me some country, right? I don't want it to be, uh, mid, mid-Ohio country, you know, like Country Duck stuff. Yeah. But I love a good crock or a beautiful, um, a w- a, a bowl that's, uh, that beautiful pottery. Yeah. You know, that, that kinda thing to it. Again, it's all the context in what you mi- mix it with. But when you said country, I was like, "Oh, Lord." So, so you like nostalgic country, not true country? I, I... With those three things you just- Well, how, how about this word? I would use this word. I like organic country. If it looks like it's from Shaker Village, I'll like it Oh, I can do that. I can, I can even, I could even, yeah. I can go with that Yeah, beautiful baskets. Yeah. Beautiful, yeah, beautiful quilts. Yeah, all of that. Yeah, I think you can dress it u- up, dress it down. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I don't want- Yeah, I, I don't want the, uh, like you said, the ducks. I don't want the chickens. I don't want, uh, I don't want a, faux metal windmill. Yeah. Yeah. There's just a, yeah. Wagon wheel. So with that said, I, when you said that, I was like, "Oh, Lord." Yeah, I mean- We're gonna lose somebody it was the tech, yeah, so, you know, I wish we had a picture of it. You're not wrong, by the way, by using that word. And if I need to- Yeah what, what, what, what's the word that's been used that at first it made me cringe, and I was like, "Oh," and 'cause it throws people off It w- used to be homosexual But now it's queer. And when I first heard that, I'm like, "Huh, I'm not sure if I like that." But there we are. So I'm gonna bring country back like queer's been brought back. I think, you know- Wow the word- You like that connotation I said? Well, I think it rings a little different if I say it or says it versus if you say it, but, um- So please, please- Thank you for being an ally please don't advocate- Happy Pride. Uh- don't, uh, don't advocate for people throwing that around, please. Um, but I d- I do think that what the, uh, the easy t- kind of term around that is country, but what it means to me is that it's like heritage. It's- Ooh. Uh, org- uh, that organic, that natural, that home... I wanna use h- the word homespun, but I don't want it to sound, like, crafty. Right. Like, it just feels very homey. Um, I don't know. I j- I... But I was really, one, I was attracted to that, especially when I put the little silver bud, uh, uh, bud vases over there. It just, it, that with, like, silver cups, like, it just, it just, mm, it just changed it. Um- So you're high country. Yeah, high country. Yeah. Well, and I think that, uh, yeah, high country. I'm the s- It's high country I'm the snob country. Yeah. I'm the snobby country. Um, now, listen, I, I've, I wrote a blog one time, this was a long time ago, where I was talking about, like, look, I know where I'm from, you know, pe- where I was raised. People hung quilts above their sofas- Oh as pieces of art. Yeah. And it wasn't knocking it, because they are, especially if someone's made it in your family, there's connection- They are art to it. But they are art. They are pieces of art. Yeah. Um, and so I wasn't trying to, to knock that. That's not necessarily where my mind goes to when I, when I, when I think of the country that I want. Um, and I don't wanna have to go out and get the eggs for breakfast in the morning. But, um, I like the finish and the style and the comfort of it. Now, you take that beautiful piece of- So you were not Laura Ingalls, you were Nellie. Oh. Well- you have to remember- No I didn't watch it. I think you're definitely Nellie. I didn't watch it. I don't have a clue- Oh who any of these people are. Oh. So- I mean, Nellie's family owned the general store in town, so they had all the good stuff. Okay. So yes, I would be Nellie. I would be Nellie. Oh. She was kinda like the snozzberry girl in, uh- Oh, that little spoiled little bitch She, yeah, they- Yeah yeah, Nellie was, yeah. Uh, Ver- Veruca Salt, was that her name? Yeah. Ver- yeah, that, uh, well, I don't want to be her, but I'll- No be her if I need to be. Um, but yeah, so I, I, I was really... But, 'cause you know, the other thing is, uh, a lot of the, photos that I'm seeing of, of homes that are being shared, there's definitely like this completely freshly new remodeled take on traditional. And then there's like the more heritage traditional. But you're seeing a lot of this kind of h- I'm gonna say high country. I don't know what else to say. I think that was a good way to say it, it's sort of... You're s- there's starting to be a lot of influence of that in there. Mm-hmm. So, uh, now look, I'm not telling you to collect your Longabergers and get those back out. That's not, that's not necessarily but- But I can say you can. Um, but like I l- I do love a basket, but I don't- Put them above your cabinets in the kitchen. Well, but if anybody does need them, our friend Diane has about 675 hung from the ceiling- She does in her basement. So, uh, ooh. Sorry. It's like, smells like gas. It's like propane. Propane? Yeah. Well, hopefully we make it through here and not blow up. Um, was there anything we got wrong? No, we're perfect. I don't remember boxing up very much or having to clean very much. Well, we didn't box up a whole lot. I s- I think that when it came to, there were stems that came in really late. There were tulips that came in really late. Like, we just need to make sure that we get on that. And part of that was a, a mistake on my part. I take the blame. I mean, it really wasn't my fault, but I didn't catch it, so there we go. You know, we, we, we really have to revisit getting the, the, everybody's front door right. Mm-hmm. ordering more. I think we found something, but I was looking on this order and we ordered six, quantity of six, uh, ferned wreaths that were very reasonably priced. I'm like, "Six? Should've been- From that vendor, 'cause we got them from three other vendors too. Well, let me just tell you something, Don't you even come for me. I- I'm just saying. Because it's gonna be the year of the wreath this year, because we never have enough- Yeah varieties of wreaths and pre-mades and stuff that we can add to it, and you all know that. Yeah. Yeah. And we just gotta... Because that's the one thing that, that I think we're kind of half known for and- That's, that's a lot of what people come to the store for. It is, it is. Yeah. And that's a good thing. That's a good thing. Um, you know, we really got it right a couple years ago when we upgraded our basket and got the black basket made. People have loved it. We were working on some natural khaki version of it and what it came back to, is this correct, That the, the painting of it, it didn't read good enough, or it, it real- it just didn't come across good. Is that, is that correct? Yeah. Okay. So let's revisit again. What can we- Another color. Another color because w- that's really what needs to happen. If, if it needs to be that basket and they do, uh, like a Nantucket wash on it, for example, uh- Yeah, but now it wants to look like bird shit. Well, I don't want it to look like that either. No, I'm just saying. Uh, but that, that's... When you told me that, uh, I walked away from that blunder of yours and- And I was just like, "Oh." The black one made up for it. Did we get to see them? The black one made up for it. Did we actually get to see it, or did they take a picture or they just knew it was bad? She, she said the saturation is not good and it wouldn't, it wouldn't stick. Yeah. It wouldn't stick to the fiber with whatever process they use. So maybe we can Google an image and share it with her and say, "Can it look something like that?" But I, I still believe we were on the right track. We just gotta figure out, if it wasn't that application, what application can it be similar-ish to that to get there? Because people are hungering for something different. Mm. Uh, and I don't... People... I think people are saying, "I don't want a door basket," because they don't want the door baskets because they got the same door basket- They've had it. Yeah four times. I think they'd be fine with a door basket if it were a different color, uh, and/or a different version. I'm even... If she may have a different version or somebody else may have one, I'm open to any of those. Yeah. But we really do have to switch it up, plus find these other wreaths of m- magnolia and, and whatever else there is out there. So that's, that's a- another big thing, and you... I think you all know that that's a, a- something we need to address once it's said and done. But generally, as far as the, the, the chalk sheets and the flowers and stuff, uh, I think we got all that pretty good. It's just the, the ribbon thing that, um, that we gotta tweak a little bit once it's all said and done. But other than that, pretty good in my head. Is that fair? I think so. I, I, I don't remember anything standing out as an issue, laughed. I wonder what the issue is that he's, stands out. No. I don't think he laughed. I think it was a, it was a, "Hmm." You know, I am so sensitive with him anymore. Oh, my God. I am on edge. I am on edge with him judging me. Oh, God. Every day. Every day. Every day. Again, the struggle is we're going to Atlanta. We're buying spring. We'll see new flowers, new baskets, new sit-abouts. We're g- oh, let's, let's talk about Bubba. We're gonna go see Bubba. Mm-hmm. And Bubba is, uh, Bubba. He looks like a Bubba in a way. Bubba. Yeah. Uh, and, um- Here we go. screamed at Bubba- Oh, my god and hurt his heart. Oh, my god, this was years ago. It's two years ago. That's what, I... I am trying to tell the story. Scared this poor boy to death. Now, I didn't say it wasn't justified, right? Because Bubba played some tricks. Is that true, I just don't think all the information was passed. Is that something Jeremy got wrong then? I don't think all the information was passed. I think I know how the rest of the story- And it came out on Bubba. And it came out on Bubba. Just like you came out- It was- on the Amazon global it was not me. It was capital N-O T-T-T-T-T-T me. Well, then it was Bubba. Long story is they have made amends, and Bubba and are now, they, they, they share certs, so they're fine. Ha. Uh, so Bubba works for a company, and let me tell you, you walk past that showroom and it is big, and loud, and full, and like, uh- It is Liberace. It is Liberace, and it, Lord have mercy, it is everywhere. So that's one I might dread a little bit, uh, just because it's so much and so tight. It's crowded. It is crowded, isn't it? Uh- Yeah Raz, if people have heard about Raz, do we have, do we still have our sales rep, or she changed? It keeps changing there. I don't know what's going on there. It's that Amy girl. Oh, she was nice enough. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. The candle girl. Yeah. That's how I wanna be remembered, nice enough. Well, that's not gonna happen. I don't think she knew how to take us all in one sitting. I, e- e- yeah, it was- It's funny it was, uh, ah, yeah, it was, it w- we, there was a learning curve. There was a learning curve. Yeah. And basically just get your scanner out and point and quit talking. Let's go. Go. Let's go. Let's go. We got shit to do. I don't care what anybody else bought. I don't, yeah, don't care what anybody else bought. You sold 82 of those to the last for- 14 people, it's fine. Well, that's- I don't care. I don't want it. Yeah, then will say, "I don't want it then." Man, that's hilarious. Well, what's your bestseller? I don't want it. I don't want it. Don't even show it to me. So, sales rep, if you're listening to this, I'm telling you what not to do with Right. So we're gonna work with them, and they usually set a good tone for what we do and what we're gonna look like. Uh, you know, ve- very traditional's back again. Very preppy's back again. Um- I keep wanting, I keep wanting paisley. I hope I can find some paisley stuff. Oh, paisley. I want me some paisley. Like Vera Bradley paisley? Mm, I don't know. Maybe it's that- No, you're thinking of that- What, what, what is it? that ribbon, like, the, the patterns that we saw that we loved with... Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Uh, yeah. No, I know what he's talking about. Yeah, no, j- it's just, uh, it's actually, it's a country influence. Yeah. Cornflower, cornflower. Like cornflower. Think, uh, think floral block print, uh- Mm. But small, small. Pomegranate like. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I feel like they're sophisticated. Yeah, it's sophisticated. Yeah. And the unfortunate part too- The tea company has some of that on their napkins sometimes. Yeah, I'm sure. Yes, yes, yes. Yeah. Yes. We, we saw a ribbon last year that we ordered for this spring that we did not end up getting. So, we'll, uh- And been complaining about it ever since. Uh, yeah. I'll remember what I don't get. Forget about what I did get. Well, what, the what, what never fails is what you're excited to get are the things that you remember 'cause they stuck out, you didn't see anywhere else- Mm and then everybody else was fools and didn't order it. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. 100%. Uh, but for some reason, somebody will order a frog doing yoga. I for the life of me do not understand- Oh, I know what the hell that's about. I'm just convinced they scan the wrong thing. Or a highland cow. I just, ugh. Okay, I'm gonna take pic- We're gonna take more pictures this year of shit that they have out there that we just wonder who the hell orders this stuff?, We made it to Knoxville we, we are to Knoxville. We will, uh, be back with another episode after the market, and then we will tell you- Or maybe during. Oh, yeah, we'll do... Listen, I've, I have... The mics are charged. I have brought charging cables. Can we have Chick-fil-A? I, I have brought multiple cameras. I am ready. We're gonna do interviews on the spot. We're gonna stop people in the hallway. We're gonna stop people. Okay. Um, and we're gonna have Jackie. Sorry, where did you get that, where did you get that velour jumpsuit? You're... Oh, Lord. All right. Um, so yeah, we'll be back, and then we'll see how this goes. Hopefully it's not a clusterfuck. Thanks for listening. Bye.
